Advanced Placement (AP) Courses (Grades 9-12)
TABLE OF CONTENTS
AP Program Overview

| - Advanced Placement (AP)® courses enable students to pursue college-level courses while still in high school.
- AP courses are not available to part-time students.
- AP classes can be started as early as August 1st and have a completion deadline of April 30th each school year.
- AP classes can be scheduled to have an end of the traditional school year deadline with written and signed request from parents indicating the student will not be taking the AP exam or acknowledging that not all the content will be covered by the AP exam date.
- AP classes CANNOT be extended into the summer. If students do not end by the traditional end of school year deadline, they will be required to reduce to the standard curriculum.
- The deadline to start an AP class with Enlightium is September 15th.
- After September 15th, students will be allowed to start AP classes with Enlightium only if they are transferring in from a different school where they were taking the AP class. Additionally, students will be required to submit a syllabus from their previous school indicating the content that was already covered prior to enrolling with Enlightium.
- Enlightium Academy offers AP classes but does not have the ability to administer the AP exams in May. Students choosing to take an AP class with Enlightum will need to contact a local high school (or testing center) in their area to arrange taking the AP exam with them.
