Summary | In this course, students will learn introductory computer skills to help them be successful in the online setting. |
Description | 1st and 2nd Grade This year, we will be focusing on learning the basics of a computer. What a computer is and what it does. We will practice using the mouse as well as typing. Students will learn about different kinds of technology and their uses. We will spend time exploring how to use the internet and the different parts of an internet browser. In part of this, we will spend time learning about being safe on the internet. 3rd and 4th Grade Students in these grades are starting to use Google for a lot of what they do in their other classes. So we will be spending a great deal of time learning how to use Google Docs and Google Slides. We will spend time learning how to research different topics. As internet safety is always of the utmost importance, we will spend time learning about how to be safe on the computer. |
