Faith in Action I

Overview

Summary
Discover Christian foundations through the study of knowledge, the Gospel, discipleship, evangelism, and missions.
Description

Faith in Action I is a course on biblical foundations consisting of text-based learning, live instruction, and ministry service. Students discover the foundations of the Christian faith in areas of knowledge (The Bible and Creation), the Gospel (The Person and Work of Jesus Christ), discipleship, evangelism, and missions.


The Standard Track (Full-year) entails 30 hours of written work, 10 hours of live instruction, and 60 hours of local ministry involvement (e.g., church attendance, youth group, serving the broader community). The Accelerated Track (Half-year) entails 60 hours of coursework, 25 hours of live instruction, and 80 hours of ministry involvement.


Upon completion of this year-long course (Half a year for the accelerated track), students will demonstrate a working knowledge of the aforementioned subjects as well as the practical skills for applying these subjects in life and ministry, serving the church and broader society.

Faith in Action II

Overview

Summary
Learn Bible interpretation and apologetics from the Bible and the principles of logic, forging spiritual discernment and ministry skills.
Description

Faith in Action II is a course on Bible interpretation and Apologetics consisting of text-based learning, live instruction, and ministry service. In the first half of this course, students learn about the nature, scope, and purpose of the Bible as well as how to interpret and apply the Bible by the power of the Spirit. In the second half, students will discover the power of logic and reasoning for the faith against false teachings. Through proper biblical interpretation and apologetical methods, students will have the tools to enrich and uphold their faith as well as evangelize to unbelievers about the love and hope of Christ.

Faith in Action III

Overview

Summary
Discover a biblical worldview through study of the Bible, God, creation, humanity, sin, and Jesus Christ.
Description

Faith in Action III is a course on Systematic Theology consisting of text-based learning, live instruction, and ministry service. In the first half of this course, students learn how the Bible forms a worldview, starting with Scripture and how Scripture informs our doctrine of God and creation. In the second half, students will discover the connections between the doctrine of creation and divine providence as well as the doctrine of humanity in connection with the fall and its effects, and the need for Jesus Christ, the doctrine of our Savior.


The Standard Track (Full-year) entails 30 hours of written work, 10 hours of live instruction, and 60 hours of local ministry involvement (e.g., church attendance, youth group, serving the broader community). The Accelerated Track (Half-year) entails 60 hours of coursework, 25 hours of live instruction, and 80 hours of ministry involvement.

Faith in Action IV

Overview

Summary
Discover the meaning and importance of salvation, the church, spiritual gifts, and Christ’s return through a structured theology.
Description

Faith in Action IV is a course on Systematic Theology consisting of text based learning, live instruction, and ministry service. In the first half of this course, students learn the doctrine of salvation, focusing on common grace, election, regeneration, and Christian living. In the second half, students learn how our doctrine of salvation informs our view of the church, the gifts of the Spirit, the return of Christ. Additionally, students will discover the usefulness of historic confessions of the Christian faith.


The Standard Track (Full-year) entails 30 hours written work, a 10 hours of live instruction, and 60 hours of local ministry involvement (e.g., church attendance, youth group, serving the broader community). The Accelerated Track (Half-year) entails 60 hours of course work, 25 hours of live instruction, and 80 hours of ministry involvement.


Upon completion of this year-long course (Half year for the accelerated track), students will demonstrate a working knowledge of the aforementioned subjects as well as the practical skills for applying these subjects in life and ministry, serving the church and broader society.
