This intro to graphic design class emphasizes video lessons, hands-on projects, an introduction to digital tools, and a final branding project.
Description

This course is designed to introduce middle and high school students to the fundamental concepts and skills necessary for creating visually appealing and impactful designs. With hands-on projects, creative exploration, and digital tools, students will be given challenging, real-world projects and assignments typical of the graphic design industry. They will also watch student workshops in which students work through each weekly assignment with a teacher. Students will also be asked to do a final "branding" project where they will create their own brand, logo, and campaign.


Graphic Design 101 has short video lessons by a professional graphic designer. Each week, students will be given hands-on assignments teaching the concepts they have learned with each lesson and a student workshop.
