This course helps students improve their writing and develop a love for the English language. With a focus on the mechanics of composition and effective use of different parts of speech, this course reinforces the building blocks of English with spelling, reading, and vocabulary instruction and teaches students to be better communicators.


Students explore word choices, sentence structure, and the creation of full compositions. In addition, they will practice their reading skills and comprehension as they explore fiction, non-fiction, and other literary genres through reading and analysis.
