Bible Memory Club (Grades PreK-12)

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Students are provided Bible verses to memorize, and then, once a quarter, join a Zoom session to compete alongside other Enlightium students in memory tests.

Registration for the Bible Memory Club for the 2026-2027 school year will open during Student Social Week from Monday, September 7, through Friday, September 11, 2026.

Participation in the Bible Memory Club counts as fulfilling the Student's Social Opportunity.
Students log their social club attendance by:
1. Obtaining a secret code word from the club leader during each session.
2. Entering that word into our attendance form.

Dates:
- Opener: Friday, September 18, 2026, from 12:00 - 1:00 pm Pacific Time / 3:00 - 4:00 pm Eastern Time
  - Although attendance at the opener is strongly encouraged, missing it will not prevent students from participating in events.
- Event 1: Friday, November 20, 2026, from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm Pacific Time / 2:30 - 3:30 pm Eastern Time
- Event 2: Friday, February 26, 2027, from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm Pacific Time / 2:30 - 3:30 pm Eastern Time
- Event 3: Friday, April 30, 2027, from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm Pacific Time / 2:30 - 3:30 pm Eastern Time

Students must use the English Standard Version (ESV).
Participants must have a webcam on so that the judges can view them while they speak.
Participants must have a phone available for clear audio.
Ensure an adult is present and will remain present for the duration of the event.

In each event, contestants will be given three verses to recite.
- Contestants must begin by stating the book, chapter, and verse/verses.
- Contestants must recite the passage in the ESV.
- Contestants will have three minutes to recite their verses.
In each event, contestants will start with 20 points total.
- Contestants will lose points for the following:
  - Inserting words
  - Deleting words
  - Starting over
  - Asking for a prompt/clue from judges
  - Using an unapproved version to recite the passage
Winners will be published on the Knowledge Base.
