Enlightium Academy is a participating private school for Texas Education Freedom Accounts, also known as TEFA.

• Private school students can receive a portion of the average amount spent per student in Texas public schools during a given year. For the 2026-2027 school year, that amount is set at $10,474
  • Funding amounts may vary from year to year. The amounts given here are based on the published data for the 2026-2027 school year. Enlightium Academy cannot guarantee specific award amounts.

  • If not already done, enroll your student at Enlightium Academy and complete the admissions process.

• To receive the private school award amount, students must attend a participating private school.
• Annual Assessment: TEFA recipients in grades 3-12 are required to take a nationally norm-referenced test.
  • Enlightium Academy administers the Iowa Complete to students in grades K-8 annually.
  • Per TEFA requirements, Enlightium will arrange for the annual administration of required assessments to all TEFA recipients attending Enlightium Academy.

How do I use my scholarship funds at Enlightium Academy?
If you have been awarded a private-school scholarship through TEFA, you will need to select Enlightium Academy as your student’s school in your Odyssey account. An Enlightium representative will then be able to verify your student’s enrollment.

After your student’s enrollment is verified, you will need to submit payments to Enlightium in Odyssey quarterly.

How will I know when my student’s enrollment has been verified, or when payments have been received?
Enlightium Academy will notify the primary parent on the account when enrollments are verified and when payments are received.

Will my tuition be scheduled differently if I use TEFA funds?
Payments expected through TEFA will be scheduled in four quarterly installments to accommodate the TEFA payment schedule. If there are any expenses that are not covered by the scholarship, payments will be scheduled in accordance with your preferences and Enlightium Academy’s billing policies.
