Scholarships

Overview

  • Enlightium provides scholarships to eligible families to assist with tuition.
  • Please note that scholarships are based on availability and not guaranteed.
  • Indicating your interest in a scholarship will not affect your tuition schedule, which will continue as planned. If you are eligible, you will receive an email with the next steps and any additional information needed to complete the scholarship consideration process.
  • Scholarships are available on a limited basis and are awarded as funding permits. Priority will be given to students based on the significance of their athletic achievements, as well as the date the application is received and the amount of tuition assistance already granted by Enlightium (such as in the form of discounts).
  • Applications for scholarships will open later in the summer and will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the application opens, families who have expressed an interest in applying for scholarships will be notified via email with the steps required to be considered.

Available Scholarships

  • Enlightium recognizes student excellence through multiple scholarship programs. Whether your child excels academically, athletically, or in a specialized area, there may be a scholarship opportunity waiting for them. Scholarships are based on eligibility and are renewable each year.
    • Academic/Achievement scholarships: Cumulative GPA of 3.8 or higher
    • Athletic scholarships: Actively participating on a team or in structured private training
    • Special Focus scholarships: Exceptional achievement in STEM, fine arts, or entrepreneurship through competition, recognition, or notable accomplishment

Athletic Achievement

  • The Athletic Achievement Scholarship is available to competitive athletes actively participating on a team or in structured private training.
  • The Athletic Achievement Scholarship is not available to students in the Book-Based Program.
  • To be eligible for the Athletic Achievement Scholarship, your student must meet the following academic criteria:
    • Maintains an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher
    • Had no failed courses in the most recent grading period
    • Maintained sufficient academic progress and was not identified as “At Risk” in the most recent grading period
  • To be eligible for the Athletic Achievement Scholarship, your student must be on a competitive sports team or be receiving private lessons for a competitive sport, and have met at least one of the following athletic achievements:
    • Has been in a state- or regional-level competition for their sport
    • Has been in a competition where he or she is considered a top athlete in the state
    • Has won a championship
  • For team sports, your student must have made meaningful contributions to the team’s significant achievements (for example, by excelling in their individual role on the team).
  • To be eligible for the Athletic Achievement Scholarship, your student must have met at least one of the following athetlic achievements:
    • Recognized by a state-level organization (such as being listed on a state website)
    • Recognized by a publication (such as being noted in an article on a website)
  • When applying, you will need to include:
    • Documentation of your student’s achievements in their sport. Examples may include news articles or websites where your student’s achievements can be verified. File type and size limits. Additional documentation can be emailed to scholarships@enlightiumacademy.com.
    • A one-page letter from the student describing their experience with their sport, including any notable achievements.

Academic Achievement

  • The Academic Achievement Scholarship is available to students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance and maintain the academic and behavioral standards required by Enlightium.
  • The Academic Achievement Scholarship is not available to students in the Book-Based Program.
  • To be eligible for the Academic Achievement Scholarship, your student must meet the following academic criteria:
    • Maintain an overall GPA of 3.8 or higher.
    • Students with an average GPA of 4.0 qualify for the first scholarship tier.
    • Students with an average GPA of 3.8 or 3.9 qualify for the second scholarship tier.
    • Students must maintain the required GPA throughout the course of the scholarship.
    • No failed courses in the previous year
    • 100% of enrolled courses completed on time in the most recent academic year
  • To be eligible for the Academic Achievement Scholarship, your student must meet Enlightium’s behavioral expectations and must not have any Level 2 or Level 3 behavioral actions on file, as defined in the Family Handbook

  • Students receiving the Academic Achievement Scholarship must maintain eligibility throughout the duration of the year. To remain eligible, the student must:
    • Maintain the required GPA for his or her scholarship tier.
    • Continue to meet Enlightium’s academic requirements.
    • Continue to meet Enlightium’s behavioral expectations.
  • When applying, you will need to include a one-page letter from the student describing their academic experience, including their academic accomplishments, areas of growth, goals, and any notable achievements. 
    • Please note file type and size limits. Additional documentation can be emailed to the email address scholarships@enlightiumacademy.com.
    • We will need your student’s most recent report card or transcript. At a later date, we may ask your family to provide this documentation.

Special Focus Achievements

  • The Special Focus Achievement Scholarship is available to students who demonstrate exceptional achievement in a special area of focus, such as STEM, fine arts, music, or entrepreneurship. 
  • Students may demonstrate exceptional achievement through competition, recognition, awards, or other notable accomplishments. Examples may include significant achievements in academic or technical competitions, music or fine arts competitions, entrepreneurial ventures, or other areas demonstrating exceptional talent, initiative, or accomplishment.
  • The Special Focus Scholarship is not available to students in the Book-Based Program.
  • To be eligible for the Special Focus Achievement Scholarship, your student must meet Enlightium’s general academic and behavioral requirements. Students must:
    • Maintain sufficient academic progress.
    • Meet Enlightium’s academic requirements.
    • Meet Enlightium’s behavioral expectations.
    • Maintain eligibility throughout the duration of the school year.
  • To be eligible for the Special Focus Achievement Scholarship, your student must have participated in a competition related to their area of focus or have otherwise demonstrated excellence in their field. Examples may include:

    • Winning a STEM, science, technology, engineering, or mathematics competition.
    • Winning a music, visual arts, performing arts, or other fine arts competition.
    • Participating in an entrepreneurship or business competition.
    • Participating in another significant competition directly related to the student's area of special focus.
  • Previous accomplishments may strengthen an application by demonstrating a pattern of achievement, continued development, and long-term commitment to the student's area of focus. Examples may include:

    • Previous competition wins or placements.
    • State, regional, national, or international recognition.
    • Awards or honors.
    • Recognition by a professional organization, school, publication, or other established organization.
    • Significant projects, performances, inventions, businesses, or other accomplishments.
    • Multiple years of achievement demonstrating continued growth and commitment.
  • When applying, you must describe your student's involvement and accomplishments in their area of special focus. Include information about how long your student has participated in this area, significant accomplishments, competitions, awards or recognition, and any evidence of continued growth or achievement. 
    • You will need to include documentation that verifies your student’s achievements. Examples may include competition results, award certificates, news articles, organization websites, publications, photographs of awards, or other materials that demonstrate the student’s participation and accomplishments.
    • You will also need to include a one-page letter from the student describing their experience in their area of special focus. The letter should include their interest in the area, how they have developed their skills or experience, notable accomplishments, competition experiences, and their future goals.
