Frequently Asked Questions About Re-Enrollment and Enrollment

General Questions

  • When is the first day of school?
    • For students in the Online and Homeschool Programs, the first day of school is August 19, 2024. However, Early Start is available for students to begin in June or July.
    • For students in the Sapphire Live Program, the first day of school is August 19, 2024.
    • For students in the Hybrid Program, the first day of school is September 3, 2024

  • What is the differences between packages?

  • How do I change packages?
    • You may upgrade/downgrade your support package by connecting with our Billing Department. Note that a fee may be applied depending on the current support package and may not be available during certain times of the year. Please review the support package comparison chart for additional details and then connect with our billing department.

Admissions

  • What should I do if I am unsure if I will be enrolling at Enlightium or another school?
    • Your family can re-enroll at Enlightium and make a note on the re-enrollment form that you are considering another school. You can then cancel your student’s enrollment for the upcoming school year before courses begin; standard cancellation/withdrawal fees apply. 
  • Is there a deadline to re-enroll?
    • Enlightium offers open enrollment, which allows students to start courses at any point in the school year, picking up at the appropriate place in the coursework based on their counselor's review of the previous school's report cards/transcripts.

Counseling

  • When will courses be assigned?
    • STUDENTS IN THE ONLINE PROGRAM
      • If your family submits the enrollment form/re-enrollment form* in:
        • February, 2024 - you’ll receive your student’s schedule no later than the week of July 8, 2024.
        • March, 2024 - no later than the week of July 15, 2024.
        • April, 2024 - no later than the week of July 22, 2024.
        • May, 2024 - no later than the week of July 29, 2024.
        • June, 2024 - no later than the week of August 5, 2024.
        • July, 2024 - no later than the week of August 12, 2024.
        • August, 2024 or later - your student’s counselor will prepare course schedules in the order in which enrollment forms are processed.
      • *Dates are not definitive; variables that may delay course assignment include students needing to complete the admissions process, retake previous courses, and deciding to take additional courses.
    • STUDENTS IN THE HOMESCHOOL AND SAPPHIRE PROGRAMS.

    • Students will receive their schedule close to their desired start date.

  • Which courses will my student take?

  • Your student’s counselor will help your family determine which courses will need to be taken and will reach out via email.

  • My student is behind. What do we do if they don't finish on time?

  • It is best to speak with your counselor to make a plan for your student. Summer school extensions are available for students who need more time to complete coursework.

  • Applicable fees apply. 

  • If your student does not finish coursework for any course with at least 75% completion, students will receive 0s for any unfinished assignments. This will highly impact their final grades. 

  • For courses under 75% complete, students will receive an Incomplete for this year and will often need to finish this course before moving on to the next course in the next grade level. 

Grades and Progress

  • How many assignments does my student have left to complete?
    • Parents can use the student portal or sign into their student’s Ignitia to review their student’s progress, grades, communication with teachers, overdue assignments, remaining assignments and more. This information will be available in the “Course” tab.
    • Additionally, the progress summary reports sent most weeks of the school year have data pulled directly from Ignitia, such as your student’s progress, the number of overdue assignments, and how far ahead or behind they are.
  • How do I upload to Ignitia?
    • You can click here for detailed steps.

Billing

  • Why do I still have payments due if we completed everything?
    • Monthly payments are installments on the full tuition for the school year, similar to making payments on a loan. This means that you are not paying for a monthly "subscription" to use Ignitia and receive teacher support; instead, you are paying off the full year's tuition for the coursework scheduled. We provide this flexibility to allow families to manage tuition costs more easily throughout the year. If you have any specific questions or concerns about your payment schedule, please contact our billing department at billing@enlightiumacademy.com for further assistance.
  • How much will the tuition be?
    • You can find tuition on Enlightium’s tuition page. 
  • What do I do if I called the Billing Department but did not get answer?
    • You can email billing@enlightiumacademy.com, or leave your number in the callback queue.
  • What discounts are available?
