Overview
| - Enlightium’s Tier 2 Intervention support is designed for students who are struggling with progress, grades, or a specific academic hurdle, oftentimes resulting from an abnormal life event (such as sickness, traveling, death of a loved one, etc.).
- This may include but is not limited to mentorship, mandatory tutoring time, and/or webinar or small group participation.
- Failure to comply with these measures, especially when coupled with unsatisfactory progress in the student’s coursework, may result in a phone call from the Principal’s Office or paid consultation with an Intervention Specialist based on the student’s need for additional intervention support.
|
What Does Tier 2 Intervention Look Like?
| - The student meets with an interventionist for a short-term duration (roughly four to six sessions) with the goal of transitioning to group sessions (growth groups) or Tier 1 support.
- The student attends a group session to acquire/practice executive functioning skills under the supervision of the Intervention Team; growth groups function dually as an arena for student support and for Intervention Team evaluation of student growth and or repeated struggles.
