Apple Calendar not Syncing with Google Calendar
Overview
| If you use Apple Calendar and Enlightium’s Google Calendar is not syncing, follow the steps below. Note that the Google Calendar is optional; a PDF calendar is available.
|
Connectivity Issues
| Internet connection: Make sure both devices have a stable internet connection, whether Wi-Fi or cellular data. Sometimes a quick switch to Airplane mode and back can refresh the connection. Apple or Google server outages: Both Apple and Google experience occasional server outages. Check their respective service status pages to see if this might be the issue.
|
Account Configuration
| Incorrect password: Double-check your Google account password in the Apple Calendar settings. Incomplete setup: Ensure you've fully enabled Calendar syncing for your Google account in both the Apple Calendar settings and the Google Calendar app. Dual calendars with similar names: Apple Calendar sometimes confuses calendars with similar names. Check for duplicate calendars and rename them for clarity. Limited access: Make sure you've granted full access to your Google Calendar for the Apple Calendar when adding your account.
|
App Issues
| Outdated apps: Update both the Apple Calendar and Google Calendar apps to their latest versions to benefit from bug fixes and syncing improvements. Corrupted app data: Try resetting the Apple Calendar app in your device settings. On iPhone, go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Calendar, then tap "Offload App" and reinstall the app.

Troubleshooting Steps
| Force quit and restart both apps. Restart your Apple device. Remove and re-add your Google account in the Apple Calendar settings. Sign out of your Google account and sign back in on both devices. Check for any error messages displayed in either the app or online platforms.
If you've tried these steps and the issue persists, consider contacting Apple or Google support for further assistance. They can access detailed logs and offer more specific solutions based on your individual case. |
