Bible Memorization Club (PreK-12)

• Students are provided Bible verses to convert to memory, and then, once a quarter, join a Zoom session to compete against other Enlightium students in a test of memorization.

*This is a brief meeting to discuss future competitions and fellowship with other participants. Students can attend either check-in meeting, but do not need to attend both.

• Students must use the English Standard Version (ESV).

• Participants must have a webcam on so that the judges can view them while they speak.

• Participants must have a phone available for clear audio.

• Ensure an adult is present and will remain present for the duration of the event.

• Each session, contestants will be given three verses to recite.
  • Contestants must begin by stating the book, chapter, and verse/verses.
  • Contestants must recite the passage in the ESV.
  • Contestants will have three minutes to recite their verses.
• Each session, contestants will start with 20 points total.
  • Contestants will lose points for the following:
    • Inserting words 
    • Deleting words
    • Starting over
    • Asking for a prompt/clue from judges
    • Using an unapproved version to recite the passage
• Winners will be published on the Knowledge Base.
