Enlightium Seal of Biliteracy (Grades 9–12)
TABLE OF CONTENTS
Enlightium Seal of Biliteracy
 | - Enlightium Academy offers the Enlightium Seal of Biliteracy Program to high school students (grades 9–12) who seek to demonstrate proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in a language other than English. Students may complete the required coursework and proficiency assessment during high school.
- The Enlightium Seal of Biliteracy, including the official transcript notation and certificate, is awarded upon graduation to students who successfully complete the program requirements and graduate from Enlightium Academy.
- Students who complete the program requirements but do not graduate from Enlightium Academy will receive a Certificate of Biliteracy Achievement, recognizing successful completion of Enlightium's Biliteracy Program and demonstrating proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in a world language. Any applicable competency-based world language credits will be reflected on the student's Enlightium transcript. The student's graduating school will determine whether those credits are accepted and whether the student qualifies for any state or local Seal of Biliteracy.

- Maintain at least a 3.00 GPA in English high school courses and satisfactory progress in other core high school courses.
- Must meet all of Enlightium’s graduation requirements.
* Students must demonstrate proficiency through Enlightium's locally developed or Enlightium-approved ACTFL-aligned assessment. |
How to Request a Seal of Biliteracy
 | - Submit a request to your student’s Enlightium counselor to participate in the Biliteracy Program.

- eligibility for the Enlightium Seal of Biliteracy (upon graduation).
- Students who graduate from Enlightium and meet all program requirements receive the Seal of Biliteracy, transcript notation, and certificate. Students who transfer before graduation receive a Certificate of Biliteracy Achievement and any earned competency-based credits.
