Enlightium Academy Support

Ordering Books (Book-Based Program)

Overview

  • At Enlightium Academy, students in the Book-Based Program use a textbook curriculum that is ordered by families with Enlightium’s assistance.

  • The Book-Based Program is parent-facilitated, meaning that parents serve as the primary teachers and conduct grading, while Enlightium provides record-keeping, administrative support, Student Social Week, and additional resources.

Ordering Books

  • After you enroll with Enlightium, you will receive a welcome email from your Book-Based Program Coordinator.
    • If you choose the AOP curriculum, an account for your family will be created at Alpha Omega Publications. This can take up to a week. Once the account is created, you will receive another email from the coordinator with detailed information on how to order a textbook curriculum for your student.
    • If you choose the BJU Press curriculum, you will receive an email with a link to your preloaded book cart. For grades 1-10, you will notice an additional link for the optional Logos Science Kit. If you have questions about this kit, please reach out to your Book-Based Program Coordinator.
      • BJU Press families will receive login information for Edvance360, allowing both parents and students to access the platform. There, you will find daily video lessons, teacher guides, and answer keys.
  • While your family is waiting for your curriculum to arrive, please review the Orientation Course in Canvas (available August 1 each year). The course provides resources to help you prepare for your homeschooling journey.

After Receiving Books

  • Once you begin schooling, you can find links to helpful grading guidelines in Canvas.

  • Your family will upload samples of your student’s work in the Canvas portal for verification and to allow our team to prepare report cards.

  • For instructions on submitting your student’s work, view this video starting at the 11:55 mark.

  • The Book-Based Program Coordinator can assist with adjusting the pace, recommending supplemental resources, and providing guidance if challenges arise.
