What is the Student Council?

  • Enlightium Academy's Student Council provides students with the opportunity to build and strengthen communication and leadership skills in a safe and supportive environment.
  • The mission of the Enlightium Academy Student Council is to provide an atmosphere of unity within the student body, causing a more enriched online school experience while building responsible leaders within our school community and promoting the values that represent godly character in all students. 

Student Council Quarter 2 Event: Talent Show

  • Talent Show submissions are being accepted from October 25-November 8th at 11:59 pm PST.
  • All Enlightium students in grades PreK-12 are invited to participate. 
  • Entries must be three minutes or less, in landscape mode, and with appropriate attire.

  • The theme for this Talent Show is Around the World.

Student Council Positions

President: Amy S., Florida

Ribbon icon

Any high school student is eligible to be elected as the Student Council President. 

Duties:
  • Runs meetings.
  • Oversees all council activities.
  • Delegates duties to everyone.
  • The primary representative of the Student Council.

Vice President: Emma C., Texas

Any high school student is eligible to be elected as the Student Council Vice President.

Duties:
  • Supports the President in running the Student Council.
  • Collaborates on Council initiatives.
  • Assumes duties in President’s absence. 
  • Manages and coordinates Council events.

Secretary: Neveah E., Texas

Any high school student is eligible to be elected as the Student Council Secretary. 

Duties:
  • Keeps records of student council activities. 
  • Handles communications related to Council activities.
  • Keeps Council members informed on upcoming meetings and agendas.
  • Maintains transparency of information with Council members.

Treasurer: Kayla G., Florida

Credit card iconAny high school student is eligible to be elected as a Student Council Treasurer.

Duties:
  • Manages the annual budget.
  • Provides regular reports during Council meetings.
  • Provides support during council meetings.


Community Involvement Liaison: Sophia G., Texas

Any high school student is eligible to be elected as the Community Involvement Liaison.

Duties:
  • Collaborates with non-profits, organizations, and community leaders.
  • Coordinate service events that align with Enlightium’s mission.
  • Engage students with meaningful community service projects.

Social Engagement Liaison: Nanette Q., Qatar

Any high school student is eligible to be elected as the Community Involvement Liaison.

Duties:
  • Develops creative content for Enlightium’s Social media platforms.
  • Collaborates with administration to enhance the Student Council’s mission.
  • Promotes unity, inclusivity, and school spirit through effective communication.

High and Middle School Liaison: Brooklyn G., Arkansas

Students in grades 6-12 may run to be elected as the High and Middle School Liaison. 

Duties:
  • Serves as representative for middle and high school students. 
  • Gather input from the student body on relevant school issues.
  • Collaborates with Council members to create meaningful school activities.

Elementary and Primary School Liaison: Aubree V., Florida

Any student in grades 6-12 may run for the Elementary and Primary School Liaison. 

Duties:
  • Communicate events with primary and elementary school students.
