Student Council (Grades 6-12)
What is the Student Council?
| - Enlightium Academy's Student Council provides students with the opportunity to build and strengthen communication and leadership skills in a safe and supportive environment.
- The mission of the Enlightium Academy Student Council is to provide an atmosphere of unity within the student body, causing a more enriched online school experience while building responsible leaders within our school community and promoting the values that represent godly character in all students.

Requirements to run for Student Council
|
To run for student council, the student must be: - Currently enrolled full-time at Enlightium Academy
- In grades 6-12
- Have little-to-no major behavioral instances on file
- Have little-to-no major progress issues, such as low progress probation

Timeline Running for Student Council
| - August 3 - 31, 2023: Application window
- September 1-8, 2023: The Student Council Coordinators review applicants and email them if they have met the requirements
- September 9-13, 2023: Voting window (all students)
- September 15, 2023: New members announced

Student Council Meeting Dates
| The student council will meet one Wednesday a month from 1:00 - 2:00 pm PT:- Quarter 1

Student Council Positions
President: Maria A., Ecuador
| Any high school student is eligible to be elected as the Student Council President. Duties:- Runs meetings.
- Delegates student council activities.

Vice President: Maddie M., Texas
| Any high school student is eligible to be elected as the Student Council Vice President. Duties:- Assists the President in running the Student Council.

Secretary: Emma C., Texas
| Any high school student is eligible to be elected as the Student Council Secretary. Duties:- Keeps records of student council activities.

Treasurer: Robert P., Pennsylvania
| Any high school student is eligible to be elected as a Student Council Class Representative.
Duties:- Manages the annual budget.

High School Liasion: Evangelina P., North Carolina
| Any middle or high student is eligible to be elected as the High School Liasion. Duties:- Communicates events with high school students.
|
Middle School Liasion: Ethan F., North Carolina
| Any middle or high school student is eligible to be elected as the Middle School Liasion. Duties:- Communicate events with middle school students.

Primary and Elementary School Liasion: Hannah S., Washington State
| Any middle or high student is eligible to be elected as the Elementary School Liasion. Duties:- Communicate events with elementary school students.
