Parent-Teacher Conferences
TABLE OF CONTENTS
Parent-Teacher Conferences in the Online Program
 | - Teachers proactively reach out only to the families of students identified in our internal progress report as having low progress or failing grades to review concerns, provide support, and partner on a plan for improvement.
- Parent-teacher conferences begin with a video message emailed to parents of students who are demonstrating low progress or are at risk of failing. Families with the Expanded Support Upgrade may then schedule a live Zoom meeting for a more personalized discussion.
- At Enlightium Academy, Parent-Teacher Conferences take place during quarters 2 and 3.
- There are a number of collaborators in a student’s education: the parents, school administration, the student’s counselor, the student’s teachers, and the student.
- Topics discussed can include:
- Observations of the student’s overall progress in the class
- Specific strengths
- Specific areas for improvement
- Suggestions for ways the student can grow
- Helpful resources
- Any questions the family might have

- Teacher emails can be found on the faculty contact knowledge base page.
- Students can send a teacher a direct message in Ignitia or Canvas for the teacher's contact information.
- If your student is not demonstrating low progress or at risk of failing, but you would still like to request a parent-teacher conference, please email the Principal’s Office at principal@enlightiumacademy.com.

Parent-Teacher Conferences in the Book-Based Program
 | - In the Book-Based Program, the parent or guardian acts as the student’s teacher. For this reason, there are no dedicated days for Parent-Teacher Conferences.
- However, parents and guardians can review their student’s grades and progress by:
- Reviewing the monthly progress reports
- Emailing their Book-Based Program Coordinator for suggestions if their student is struggling in one or more courses
